Summary

I'm in the car a lot. I'm a pretty heavy cell-phone user -- it's how my clients and wife get ahold of me when needed. So I've been using headsets for a long time. It wasn't until a year or so ago when I first got a Bluetooth-capable phone that...

Strength

great sound quality, light, very comfortable

Weakness

small controls; rather obvious you have a headset on

Bottom Line

The Plantronics Voyager 510 scores great for comfort and sound quality -- the most important aspects of a headset.

Summary

Up here in New York, and increasingly across the country, headsets or hands-free are mandatory when driving with your mobile. I finally picked up a Bluetooth-enabled phone (el-cheapo Nokia 2366i) and at the same went with a compact little headset, the...

Strength

Good volume, noise cancelling microphone, strong Bluetooth signal

Weakness

Some buttons hard to locate, don't lose the eartips, excessive wind noise

Bottom Line

Much better than the previous Jabra headset I had. Noise canceling microphone was what I needed, and the Plantronics delivered, although it does not handle wind noise very well.

Summary

I had done a lot of research before settling on the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset. Sure, it's a little larger than some of the other bluetooth headsets out there, but for what it offers, it's a small compromise. Voice/Call Quality:...

Strength

call quality, battery life, comfort, windsmart + noise cancelling technology

Weakness

size, on/off/mute button, unintuitive pairing process

Bottom Line

This headset has excellent comfort, battery life and call quality all in one, great for those on the go.

Summary

About 3 years ago, I got my first cell phone, and consequently my first headset. A Motorola unit...it took a AAA battery, and it worked pretty well. Or, so I thought. Then I got my first Plantronics 510. WOW! So, why did I replace my *first*...

Strength

Comfortable, reasonably good looking, accessories commonly available, excellent sound quality, excellent build quality

Weakness

Proprietary charger, bulk

Bottom Line

Buy this headset -- none other compare. The Jawbone is the only other one worth considering, and it appeals to a completely different user.

Summary

It works great in the beginning but then it loses stand by time and distorts sound both ways, like being under water and/or dropping every other word. The worse thing is, when it frequently disconnects from the cellphone as if it was low on power,...

Strength

Good Customer Support

Weakness

Works when new but loses it performance very quickly with no fixes
