Product Description

Make no mistake, the mid-size H3 is all HUMMER. There's a tough welded steel frame, comprehensive underbody protection, standard full-time 4-wheel drive and a new-for-2007 242 hp Vortec 3.7L in-line 5-cylinder engine under the hood.

Summary

I drove the 2006 Hummer H3 around the time it first appeared and found that the 220-horsepower 3.5-liter five-cylinder engine not quite up to the task of motivating the SUV's 4,700 pounds of mass. Many others agreed, and so for 2007 GM enlarged the...

Strength

Unique character, much more manageable than an H2

Weakness

Can't compete in terms of practicality and on-road performance with mainstream SUVs

Bottom Line

A true Hummer, in both the positive and negative senses. Not a rational purchase except for hardcore off-road enthusiasts. But that won't matter.

Summary

The H3 is the second SUV I have ever owned. It is hands-down the best. (fyi my best veh. purchase was a VW Golf diesel - my commuter car). We get real winters in my part of Canada and although SUV's are rarely necessary due to the resurgence of great...

Strength

general comfort, build quality, FT4WD, offroading,

Weakness

Snow tires, cabin space, service, public attitude, visibility, amenities

Bottom Line

I love the H3. I recommend it highly to people looking for a Big3 alternative to true truck-based SUV's with offroad capability, like the 4Runner, Touareg...etc

Summary

I was in the market for a serious off-road SUV and I had my eye on the H2 for some time now, but cannot afford it. Along comes the H3. At first I did not like the look, but it grew on me the more I saw the H3 on the road. I wanted the 2007 Adventure...

Strength

Best in class off-road SUV, hands down! Good value.

Weakness

Not roomy, sparse amenities. Rear seats don't fold flat.

Bottom Line

If you can't afford the H2, get the 2007 H3. It's almost as fun and half the payment! This SUV will set you apart from the soccer mom minivans!

Summary

Made a great deal on the vehicle, $200 over invoice per KBB.com. 0% financing too. Bought it on the last day of the year. It's a base model with stick shift. There is nothing I don't like about this vehicle. Easy to shift, great turning radius. This...

Strength

Looks, great ride, good power, easy shifting, comfortable leg room, great customer service at dealership

Weakness

No hand lever for the emergency brake, the rear seats don't fold down flat.

Summary

The H3 has very good acceleration from 0-60, powerful in snow, and it has a cool look. Although the poor visibility and size makes the Hummer a little difficult to negotiate in tight parking places, the after market rear video camera & front electronic...

Strength

Its looks, performance in weather, capacity, and comfortable ride are its best assets

Weakness

Poor visibility & large size makes parking maneuvering & garage parking judgment tricky.
