Acura was refreshingly open about the fact that its MD-X concept is the basis for the second-generation 2007 Acura MDX SUV that goes on sale this fall. More aggressive styling, a slight increase in size, and better handling are all promised for the next MDX. Despite showing us the future shape of the ute, Acura was tight-lipped about the powertrain. A safe bet would be a version of Acura???s familiar 3.5-liter V-6 with at least 270 horsepower.
Does the second-gen MDX finally deliver on the promises Acura made with the first?

I recently spent some time behind the wheel of the '07 Acura MDX, the same day as also doing the same with the Lexus GX470 and Toyota Landcruiser. In many ways the MDX far exceeds the other two, but falls short in some everyday use ratings. First and...
Test drove the new Acura MDX in early February of 2007. I was very impressed. It didn't feel at all like I was driving an SUV. I had test driven the Honda Pilot about an hour before, and the MDX felt nothing like it. The Pilot felt like a big...
