The BMW 325 is introduced new for this year and is available in four models: Sedan, Coupe, Sport Wagon and Convertible. An all-wheel drive option is now available on both the sedan and sport wagon model. The new M54 engine, standard on all models, produces 184 horsepower. Additional improvements to the 3-Series include larger brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the new Dynamic Brake Control System. This system reinforces the driver pedal effort in emergency braking situations. The optional Sport Package includes sport seats, fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, performance tires, and sport suspension. Other available options include an onboard navigation system and the Harman/Kardon Sound System.

Summary
The BMW 3-series is not a value-priced car. I read that BMW has the largest profit margin of all car manufacturers 11% of the cars price is BMWs profit.
The 325i sedan prices start around $27-28K and if you want...
Strength
Performance, styling, smooth engine and transmission, infrequent oil changes, safety (both active and passive)
Weakness
Price, dash and interior design, rear leg space, cabin space
Bottom Line
If you have money and are willing to spend it for this car, I highly recommend doing do.
I bought my 325xiT used with 32,000 miles. I am now in my 3rd winter with the car, it now has over 70,000 on it. I am sharing my mixed experiences with the vehicle. This is my 3rd BMW, all of which have been 3 series. I still have my 1994 325i...
Strength
Wagon versatility, glue-like traction, BMW solidity, in-line six engine, great seats, gas mileage
Weakness
BMWs are not for everyone due to cost of infrequent repairs
Bottom Line
A great, versatile, fun car. Find a private BMWCCA-listed BMW mechanic and you won't regret it. Be prepared to pay for infrequent but not inexpensive repairs.

Summary
I thought I'd take a different approach to the car Epinion. This one will be about comparing the 325 and the 330 models of BMW's most popular 3-series for the year 2001. I will go through the differences, the options and what they are intended for, so...
When I was shopping for a compact luxury car a few months ago, I considered all of the top names. After driving a 1992 Saturn SL2 for 8 years, I figured I should have fun test-driving. So I made visits to Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW before making a...
I recently purchased my 2001 BMW 325Cic (convertible) and I absolutely love it. I bought it from United BMW of Roswell Georgia as a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) program car. I'd spotted it on their lot after-hours and approached the dealership with a...
Strength
Beautiful, classy, fine handling and packed with technological goodies and engineering expertise
Weakness
Only that E46 is being replaced with a new 3-series design
I have been driving a 2001 BMW325i for the past 9 months and thought it about time I say a few (i.e many) words about the car, particularly in light of the many Troll reviews that "grace" the pages of epinions.
The new 325i finally gets the engine size matched up with the nomenclature, and adds a few more hp in the process, but its not the car for everyone, and specifically, not for me. The BMW 3 series is probably the best driving car in its class, its safe...
Strength
BMW prestige, great handling, braking, smooth ride, safety, nice interior
Weakness
BMW image, high price, reliability concerns, dealer service waits, small
Bottom Line
If you value handling over luxury, value, amenities, and spaciousness, the BMW 325i is hard to beat. If you want an affordable sporty and cush cruiser, keep looking.
I purchased my 2001 325iA only a few months ago from an private party individual. The price paid reflects a car that had 21,000 miles on it. Part of the difficulty in purchasing the car was that it was impossible for me to find a dealer that would...
Strength
Handling, Reliability, Driver Comfort
Weakness
Interior Space
Bottom Line
Buy it, and if you are wondering whether it's worth it to buy a 2ndhand one, trust me, it is.
Glad I bought one - The Perfect Mix of Luxury and Performance

I recall the days when I used to make fun of Beamer owners... those super yuppies with their slick cars and golf clubs. Well, now I have joined their ranks. Forget the golf clubs, this car is great.
I seem to be one of the few who dislike...
Strength
Classic looks, safety features, quiet & smooth ride while maintaining great handling.
Weakness
Pricey, slight delay when punching the accelerator before actual speed boost.
Bottom Line
A great mix of comfort and performance with top-notch safety and security. The only way to go wrong with this car is if you can't really afford the payments.
BMW has always been known for making sporty cars and when you buy a BMW, you are paying for the name. It's a great car, but if you don't care about brand name and just want a car to get you from point A to point B, the BMW is not for you.
The...
Strength
looks great, reliable, gobs of torque, speedy
Weakness
pricey, not great without options package
Bottom Line
It's a driver's car and for those that want to enjoy their time behind the wheel.
